Welcome to my MBARI web site... Part of my job as a Communications Associate is to help people outside of MBARI understand what we do and why we do it. I do this by writing news releases and articles about MBARI research, as well as by helping members of the press who want to write their own articles or create video stories about MBARI. I also manage MBARI's still-image archives.
I work closely with Lisa Borok, who is our other Communications Associate, and focuses on working with video and broadcast media.
My academic background is in marine geology, environmental planning, and science writing.
Outside of work, I enjoy surfing, writing, graphic arts, playing a wide variety of music and musical instruments.
