My job as a mechanical technician involves the design and fabrication of small parts, as well as testing and modification of various systems including pneumatic, hydraulic, electronic and mechanical components. I am involved with both Tiburon and Ventana ROV's, the toolsleds for both vehicles, and various devices for marine science that attach to the toolsleds.
I enjoy my job because it is challenging, broad based, team oriented, and fluid requiring large adaptibility of skills and the balancing of scientific desires to engineering and physical constraints.
