VARS Query

VARS Queries can be saved as KML files:

1. Open VARS - http://seaspray.shore.mbari.org/webstart/varsquery.jnlp
2. Run a query
3. "Save as KML"
4. Double click the KML file to open it in Google Earth

Google Sketchup

A free 3D modeling program from Google.

Highlights

• Can create models of objects
• Can import CAD models (with some format limitations)
• Models can be located on Google Earth and exported as KMZ files
  Hints:
  • "Tools->Google Earth" for tools on geolocating your model
  • Create a KMZ with "File->Export->3d Model"
