The scanPort utility loads the instrument service (if it exists) on the specified port(s) of the specified SIAM node. If an instrument service is already associated with the specified port, or if a specified port does not exist on the node, an error is reported to the user. Multiple ports may be specified, and will be scanned in the order specified.
