Jenny is a member of the Seafloor Mapping group and the former Submarine Volcanism group at MBARI, and is involved with all aspects of imaging the sea floor and particularly research at mid-ocean ridges, seamounts, hotspot volcanoes, and hydrothermal systems. Her primary responsibilities involve processing of AUV, ROV, and ship-collected multibeam sonar mapping data, data visualization with geographic information systems (GIS), sample handling and curation, and planning and participating in research expeditions. Her other contributions include database development and programming, video annotating, graphic design, photography, and web authoring.
