Feasibility of a Digital Video Archive

This project is tracking industry trends in digital storage of high volumes of video data and surveying MBARI users as to their needs. Tape-based systems will eventually be phased out. As an experiment, the Video Lab is investigating licensing a small sub-sampling of high-definition dive video from the MBARI archives that will be digitized.
