Applying AVED to Still Images from Station M

Danelle Cline will conduct a demonstration project in which the Automated Visual Event Detection (AVED) software, originally developed for automated event detection in video, will be used to analyze still images from the long-running time series that Ken Smith has gathered at Station M. This is thought to be a nearly ideal application for AVED on account of the limited variety of animals and activity and the homogeneous conditions.
