Kanna Rajan’s group is providing onboard deliberation for MBARI AUVs that enable more complex missions than ever before as the AUV responds autonomously to conditions in the environment. Plans for 2009 include adding the capacity for mission interruption and resumption and enabling more shore-based testing of new software capabilities.
