Autonomous Underwater Vehicle Upper-Ocean Research and Development

Regular sampling of the upper water column along two long transects in Monterey Bay using a Dorado autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV) supports multiple research programs: Chavez, Ryan, Johnson, Haddock, and Rajan. The AUV is equipped with instruments to measure temperature, salinity, oxygen, fluorescence, optical backscatter, etc.
