Seafloor Imaging of Marine Protected Areas: Baseline Data and Pilot Study

Steve Rock and Jim Barry will undertake a two-year study to collect video and sonar images that will constitute the baseline data set for two Marine Protected Areas (Soquel Canyon and Portuguese Ledge) in Monterey Bay. The baseline data will include mapping with the autonomous underwater vehicle and video mosaics of selected areas.
