Long Range Autonomous Underwater Vehicle (AUV)

In 2007, the project team focused on use of modeling and simulation tools to explore whether an AUV could be built to travel a long distance at high speed. A vehicle layout has been established to allow for detailed design in 2008. Fabrication is expected in the summer of 2008 with a prototype functional by the end of the year.
