Upper ocean biogeochemistry
Probe chemistries for use with the Environmental Sample Processor (ESP)
Project Manager: Chris Preston
Lead Scientist: Chris Scholin
Two major goals for Scholin’s lab in 2007 are to maintain a nearly continuous Environmental Sample Processor (ESP) presence in the field as more copies of the instrument are available for deployment and to work with public health officials on cross calibrating ESP output against the current standards used for decision making. An exciting development is testing the feasibility of directly detecting the expression of specific genes.
