Deepwater salps in Monterey Bay III
Project Manager and Lead Scientist: Laurence Madin
MBARI adjunct Larry Madin from Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution will be joining MBARI's Bruce Robison on some expeditions for the purpose of quantifying the vertical distribution of salps and doliolids below 1000 m. Madin will collect and identify the species present, measure fecal carbon flux, estimate feeding rates, and characterize gut contents.
