National Ocean Economics Program
Project Manager: Judith Kildow
Judith Kildow joined the MBARI staff as of January 1, 2007, bringing a marine policy component to the institute. For a number of years she has led the National Ocean Economics Program, which seeks to bridge the abyss between the scale and scope of environmental science data with that of economic data. In 2007, she will be undertaking at least one pilot program in which MBARI research results are used to inform and influence ocean policies or management decisions. She has been in discussions with both Peter Brewer and Ken Johnson on candidate projects.
