Onboard decision making for platform command and control

Project Manager and Lead Engineer: Kanna Rajan

Rajan has proposed a series of engineering research projects that will take MBARI’s AUVs to new levels of autonomy. The decision making involves not only fault diagnosis, isolation, and recovery, but also implementation of closed-loop behaviors that allow more sophisticated and scientifically valuable missions.
