Probe chemistries for use with the Environmental Sample Processor (ESP)

Project Manager: Chris Preston
Lead Scientist: Chris Scholin

The goals of this project are to refine probes for specific groups of marine microbes and to develop methods of assessing gene expression for in situ application. These advances will be ported to the ESP and used to make time series measurements in Monterey Bay. Researchers will also develop methods to archive samples aboard the ESP for periods of one year or more in preparation for long-duration deployments.
