Chavez and his lab will continue to record changes in the biology, chemistry, and physics of Monterey Bay by maintaining moorings, periodic ship surveys, and (increasingly) AUV surveys. The goal of this project is to understand carbon biogeochemistry and primary production in relation to climate perturbations.
