The Integrated Ocean Drilling Program is currently in the permitting process for installing several borehole observatories in Monterey Bay. MBARI will be generating wiring diagrams for the subsystems necessary to connect instruments in the boreholes to the MARS cable. MBARI has also designed a new ROV-serviceable wellhead for cable-connected boreholes.
