Kolber ’s lab will continue work on advanced engineering for sensing biochemical processes in the upper ocean. Specific activities include a LIDAR (laser radar-based) sensor for remote sensing of marine photosynthesis, combating biofilms and biofouling, and long-period grating-based sensors.
