In this study for a new MBARI institutional initiative, Brewer and Barry will conduct a series of workshops involving internal and external scientists and engineers to articulate the range of problems associated with the emerging lower pH ocean. The goal of the workshops will be development of a 3- to 5-year plan covering instrumentation needs, experimental goals, and modeling.
