Divisional support projects
Project Manager: Chris Grech
This project provides maintenance and support of our core operational systems: R/V Point Lobos and ROV Ventana, R/V Western Flyer and ROV Tiburon, R/V Zephyr, and DMO1 (the AUV). Planned operations for 2005 are as follows:
- 150 Sea days of Western Flyer / Tiburon operations
- 150 Sea days of Point Lobos / Ventana operations
- 17 Sea days of the Point Lobos CTD operations
- Approximately 140 sea days of Zephyr
- 80-100 AUV days depending upon requests
The Engineering team and Information Systems staff will be supporting and maintaining onboard network, navigation, and data handling systems.The video systems, will be supported and maintained by ITD. The Mechanical Engineering team will provide modifications or upgrades to vessel, ROV, and AUV systems.
