Mooring maintenance

MBARI moorings continue to provide an opportunity for time-series data collection and also serve as platforms for specific scientific investigations. The major milestones for this project in 2002 will occur on the mooring turnaround dates. The tentative schedule is for M2 in early May and M1 in early October. In addition, the Equatorial Pacific cruises are also scheduled for May and October and will require Oasis can pre-deployment testing. Periodic maintenance trips to M1 and M2 will be scheduled every 3-4 weeks and will utilize the R/V Zephyr when possible.
