Dorado—MBARI's autonomous underwater vehicle program

The Dorado / MBARI autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV) program is an engineering lead program combining several elements from the various groups here at MBARI and collaborations with external research institutions. The current programs involve the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution (WHOI), Scripps Institution of Oceanography (SIO), University of Washington, Naval Postgraduate School (NPS), Florida Atlantic University (FAU), and a host of other industrial partners. The majority of the efforts for 2000 will be continuing efforts and expansion of the AUV program.
