MBARI excels in measuring and observing oceanographic phenomena. However, the
scientific benefits derived from the collected data could be significantly enhanced by
more intensive analysis and integrated visualization. This project aims to synthesize the
various data sets collected by institute researchers for visualization in a compelling,
efficient, and user-friendly system. We will develop computational tools to routinely
create richly detailed, three-dimensional objects and imagery that can be viewed within a
web browser.
