1999 Projects: New research platforms

In 1999 Tiburon, Ventana, and the MBARI moorings will all be fully operational for the first time, supporting MBARI's numerous science programs. MBARI will also embark on two new initiatives in ocean technology that hold promise for more cost-effective data collection and additional opportunities for technology transfer:
