Part of the Stanford Initiative on Business and Environmental Sustainability Research Conference Series, the Seafloor Science in Central California: Research Frontiers and Collaborative Opportunities symposium brought together researchers from across Central California. Integrating advanced sensing technologies, process-based research, and practical applications, this event aimed to foster future partnerships among regional institutions.

Members of five MBARI research teams participated in the symposium, sharing advancements in seafloor mapping technology, efforts to monitor seafloor processes in Monterey Canyon, and how science can inform conservation of seafloor resources and ecosystems.
