The Central and Northern California Ocean Observing System (CeNCOOS) collaboration housed at MBARI is a central part of this effort.The California Ocean Protection Council has appointed CeNCOOS Director Henry Ruhl to its Science Advisory Team. In partnership with the California Ocean Science Trust, this panel brings together representatives from scientific organizations and tribal scientists to inform public decision-making and serve as a key resource to guide California’s coastal and ocean decisions in an era of rapid change. “With so much at stake for our coastal ocean communities, and the value that the ocean brings for Californians every day, I’m grateful to be joining this team and sharing the latest scientific findings with decision-makers.
