ISUS nitrate sensors and Deep-Sea DuraFET pH sensors in Webb Research Apex profiling floats

What's new? Twelve floats were deployed in the Southern Ocean from R/V Revelle on the US Repeat Hydrography P16S cruise . Seven of these floats have pH sensors. This project is supported by the US NSF Polar Programs with some floats contributed by NOAA through the US Argo Program.
Float 0276 was deployed in the North Atlantic. 0276 is a Sea-Bird Navis float with nitrate, oxygen and biooptical sensors. Temperature, salinity, oxygen (SBE 63) and optical data (MCOM - chlorophyll fluorescence, backscatter and CDOM) are at 2 meter vertical resolution. Float 8514 was redeployed at the Hawaii Ocean Time series (HOT) station on Jan. 18, 2014.

N These floats have an ISUS or SUNA nitrate sensor.
O These floats have an Aanderaa Optode oxygen sensor.
O6 These floats have a Sea-Bird SBE63 optical oxygen sensor.
pH These floats have a Deep-Sea DuraFET pH sensor and pH is reported on the total proton scale.
FL These floats have FLBB biooptical sensors for chlorophyll (470/695 nm Ex/Em) and backscatter (700 nm, 117 degrees).
FLM These floats have a WET Labs MCOM FL, BB and CDOM optical sensor.
Test These were short-term test deployments and the floats were then recovered.
d These floats have exhausted their batteries and are not operating.
