A hands-on card game lesson introducing students to real oceanographic instruments and how scientists collect and interpret ocean data like temperature, salinity, and pH. Builds critical thinking about ocean technology's role in science.

Students will be analyzing real-time data from the East Coast (SECOORA) and West Coast (NANOOS) to compare the Atlantic and Pacific oceans.

Students will explore a variety of research equipment used to determine the biochemical and geophysical activities of our oceans, then design a blueprint of a research vessel.
