Annual report highlights Mexico expedition, emerging technology, local developments

A stunning image of hydrothermal vent fluids ponding under a large ledge graces the cover of the MBARI 2015 Annual Report, illustrating one of many discoveries during a Gulf of California expedition. Other Gulf discoveries are also highlighted in the new publication, along with updates on some of the institute’s emerging technological developments, and a focus on the wider impact of some of the engineering and science work that began close to home in Monterey Bay.
