MBARI researchers share latest scientific findings and tech innovations at Ocean Sciences Meeting 2026

Last week, more than 30 scientists and engineers from MBARI attended the Ocean Sciences Meeting 2026 in Glasgow, Scotland. Hosted by the American Geophysical Union (AGU), Association for the Sciences of Limnology and Oceanography (ASLO), and Oceanography Society, this biannual conference brings together experts in ocean science, engineering, and conservation.

Members of MBARI’s science, engineering, and communications teams participated in panel discussions, poster sessions, and town hall meetings to share their work with peers from around the world.

From revealing the ocean-climate connection and developing AI tools for ocean exploration to visualizing seafloor processes and advancing accessible ocean technology, MBARI researchers shared their latest findings and innovations with conference attendees. Scientific conferences like the Ocean Sciences Meeting offer our researchers the opportunity to network with peers and help facilitate new partnerships to share MBARI science, technology, and expertise.
