Madison serves as the Science Communication Fellow in MBARI’s Information and Technology Dissemination (ITD) Division. She collaborates with the social media, editorial, and video teams to produce multimedia content across MBARI’s digital platforms. You can find her science stories published on bioGraphic, The Open Notebook, …& the West, and Peninsula Press. She is a field scientist at heart and fell in love with Monterey Bay after spending a summer as a scientific diver in the kelp forest. You’ll often here Madison say, “science is a verb.” She crafts stories using innovative and immersive techniques to inform audiences of the scientific process, inspire wonder and appreciation for the ocean, and imagine creative solutions to the world’s most challenging problems.
