Dr Lenka O’Connor Sraj is a postdoctoral researcher in the Ocean Biogeochemical Sensing (OBS) team, led by Dr. Yuichiro Takeshita. The focus of her research is to improve the accuracy of air-sea carbon dioxide exchange estimates using a suite of analytical techniques and autonomous platforms equipped with high accuracy sensors developed at MBARI. Lenka completed her PhD in analytical chemistry at the University of Melbourne, Australia in 2020, where she developed easy-to-use and affordable analytical tools for monitoring aquatic pollution. Prior to joining MBARI, Lenka worked at Deakin University as an environmental consultant in the Blue Carbon Lab and in the regulatory enforcement team at the Environment Protection Authority, Victoria, Australia.
