Each year, MBARI invites a handful of students and educators to spend their summers on the sandy shores of Moss Landing, watching sea otters, getting sun tans, and exploring the landscape– when they’re not busy working, that is!
Over the course of 10 weeks, MBARI’s summer interns work closely with a mentor in a variety of fields, like microbiology, engineering, geochemistry, or science communication. While here, they learn about exciting research, gain valuable work experience, and run an independent project of their own.
