July 6, 2017 – Nathaniel Yee is a 2017 summer intern applying deep learning to software that detects and classifies deep-sea creatures.

Megan Bassett

July 6, 2017 – Megan Bassett is a 2017 summer intern putting her best foot forward by studying the genetics of pteropod species.

Ellie Handler

July 6, 2017 – Ellie Handler is a 2017 summer intern studying the coolest type of algae— an Arctic strain of Micromonas.

Beverly Abadines

July 6, 2017 – Beverly Abadines is a 2017 summer intern working on reducing the power consumption of the SeeStar open-source imaging system.

Alia Thompson

July 6, 2017 – Alia Thompson is a summer 2017 intern exploring science communication and education with CeNCOOS.

Danielle Fabian
