| I served as a Mission Planner and Assistant Mission Manager aboard N717, the NASA DC-8 research aircraft based at NASA Ames Research Center in Mountain View, CA. This involved integration of experimental instrument systems onto the DC-8, such as radiometers, radars, lidars, and atmospheric samplers, taking account of aicraft structural loading, electrical power, RF interference, optical window, and flight envelope requirements. | With the Department of Ocean Engineering, I designed new oceanographic instrument systems for use in WHOI research projects. This included a variety of hardware and software systems, with emphasis on satellite data telemetry, high efficiency power conversion, micropower computer systems, and real time embedded operating software.
