Plocamium cystocarp
Cystocarps forming on the back of a P. cartilageneum ramuli. It is possible to see cystocarps with an unaided eye, if you know what to look for. They resemble tiny berries. Collected 2-28-96 from HMLR in 30 ft. of water, magnification: 40X.
