Marine Botany

Fauchea acknowledgements

Immense assistance was provided by Judith Connor, without whom I would never know what a carpogonial branch really looked like. Nor would I have learned the value of having your own land, and barn (below).

In an equal role was Patrick Martone (sort of visible above standing in barn, at left), providing daily responses to the question, "Hey Patrick, do you know what this is?"

Jim Watanabe and Freya Sommer essentially made this website happen, as without them I would never have even seen any samples of Fauchea laciniata and not fallen in love with this gorgeous algae. And even if I had chosen the species on my own, I wouldn't have had any samples to look at without their help.
