Codium fragile:   Dead Man's Fingers


Codium fragile is a dark green siphonous alga that lives in the intertidal zone. It is a fuzzy-looking patch of tubular "fingers" that hang down from the rocks when the tide is out, giving it the common name Dead Man's Fingers.
