Nancy Barr

As Web/Print Project Manager, I am responsible for print and electronic publications. This includes our annual reports, brochures, CD-ROMs, and brochures, as well as the MBARI website. Below are some of the projects for which I have provided writing, editing, and/or project management.

Annual reports—Our annual report, which is usually published in June, provides a comprehensive update of progress on MBARI research and development projects. Also included are the MBARI financial report and a list of publications by our staff. All our annual reports are also available as PDF documents online.

CD-ROMs—MBARI has produced several data CD-ROM packages. Five CDs were published with data sets from our 1998 multibeam seafloor mapping surveys. We also published raw and processed data from the August 2000 MUSE project.

Brochures—At left is an image of the latest brochure providing general information about MBARI. We also publish brochures about our vessels and vehicles and our Summer Internship Program.

Website—Our website includes more than 12,000 pages created and maintained by staff members in our various divisions. I provide support to these web authors and am responsible for oversight of the website, including coordinating the redesign of our site. In addition to the public website, I oversee the internal site, which is available only to employees.
