Jeff came to MBARI in 2013 from the University of Hawaii at Manoa, where he earned a M.S. in Physical Oceanography (2008) and went on to work as an Oceanographic Specialist conducting coastal physical oceanography and marine ecosystems research, both at UH, and later at Moss Landing Marine Labs. At MBARI, Jeff specializes in all things data, including development of real-time interactive data monitoring websites, sensor logging and visualization software, signal processing analyses, feature-detection algorithms, and synthesis and scientific interpretation of large physical, acoustical, and biological data sets.
