In trying to predict the future, I will look at current sub-sea technologies and their limitations, and decide which limitations are hard and fixed, and which can be overcome to create new, useful technologies.

I will also look at current and future uses/needs for sub-sea technologies to see where there is room for innovation. I personally think there is significant room for innovation, and that new technologies will be developed which will change the way we think about and work in the oceans.
