Research Technician – Biological Oceanography Group
The successful applicant will work with a dynamic research team working on the impact of climate on ocean ecosystems. The individual will be responsible for the analysis of a wide variety of oceanographic and atmospheric data, preparation of graphics, displaying processed data/graphics on web sites and scientific paper writing. The successful applicant will also work with the rest of team on in situ data collection and preparation of instruments and systems for at sea deployment.
Requires a minimum of a B.S. in Oceanography, computer programming or related fields, M.S. is desirable. Applicants must have programming experience. Experience with MatLab or C required. Highly desirable are working knowledge of data systems and formats used to store information. Experience with in situ sensors and systems a plus.
