MBARI President assumes leadership role of  international science organization

MBARI President and CEO Marcia McNutt recently became President of the American Geophysical Union, a worldwide society of nearly 38,000 scientists in the earth and space sciences. Dr. McNutt was elected by her peers to lead AGU for the next two years.

AGU publishes 50,000 pages a year of peer-reviewed research in a dozen journals, plus books. The organization also runs two major meetings annually, covering all of its sciences, plus several smaller meetings on limited topics.
