Photos from MBARI's 2013 Open House

On July 20, MBARI opened its doors to the public, providing visitors with a once-a-year opportunity to talk with scientists, engineers, and marine operations crews about their work. There was something for everyone, from squid prints for preschoolers to amazing videos and robotic vehicles, as well as opportunities for in-depth discussions of marine science engineering for those already versed in the field. The following photos, taken by MBARI staff, interns, and guests, capture some of the excitement of the day.

If you missed this year's Open House, keep an eye on our Open House web page for details on next year's event. You can also request to be notified by email by sending an email to openhouse@mbari.org.
