Morgane is a Postdoctoral Fellow reporting to Senior Scientist Dave Clague. Morgane received her PhD in Geophysics and Geodynamics from IUEM (Institut Universitaire European de la Mer). Morgane’s thesis focused on bathymetric mapping and high resolution photographic characterization of tectonic and magmatic processes along the 16N EPR. During her PhD, Morgane also studied volcanic and tectonic processes based on high resolution bathymetry and submersible dive videos.
Research programs at the Monterey Bay Aquarium Research Institute (MBARI) encompass the entire ocean, from the surface waters to the deep seafloor, and from the coastal zone to the open sea. The need to understand the ocean in all its complexity and variability drives MBARI's research and development efforts.
