Compressing Email Attachments with the Windows Winzip Utility

WinZip is a popular Windows utility for creating and manipulating compressed files (ZIP files). The software may be acquired at http://www.winzip.com.
Creating and Emailing a Compressed Archive in One Step with WinZip
Right-click on the file or folder you wish to compress and send, and select
the WinZip submenu.
There will be a menu entry labelled Zip and E-Mail
<file or folder name>.zip. Click on that menu item and WinZip will
automatically compress the file or folder and create an outgoing email with
the resulting compressed file as an attachment.
