We are busy packing up and preparing to leave. The researchers have filled a six-meter shipping container with ROV Phantom, the baited camera system, and associated gear that will be sent back to California. The samples were boxed-up separately and will be sent via air shipping to keep them fresh.

Soon the scientists and crew will go their separate ways but hope to see one another again on a future expedition. We are very grateful for the support of the Schmidt Ocean Institute and MBARI to carry out this unique research opportunity.
