Dockside
7 February 2011
Today we waited in anticipation for the delivery of the remaining supplies needed to ensure the success of the cruise. With the crew's determination and lots of logistical support, the equipment and supplies were organized for tomorrow’s departure.
Earlier in the day, the science team worked to compile a species guide list for the algae and animals that we expect to see in the Sargassum seaweed. Kathleen Sullivan Sealey, Judit Pungor, and Jake Ellena extracted information from science publications and the internet, but there is still much to learn. Many of the articles were published more than 40 years ago.
