Day 11: Last day of the expedition
August 6, 2013

Today we had one short dive before heading in to Eureka, California. As we steamed into port, the pilots, crew, and science team were busy cleaning and getting ready for the port stop. On behalf of all of the science team, I’d like to thank the crew and pilots for making it such a successful cruise. They make it easy for us to do science and have fun while doing it.

Personally, I’d like to thank the crew and pilots for making me feel at home on the Western Flyer. I participate in a lot of cruises with them and they really make me feel part of the family. I hope the rest of the Northwest expedition is as seamless as this leg.
